Our Process
Developing effective design solutions begins with clear problem definition followed by rapid iterations of divergent and convergent thinking. Think Design developed the B/FAME/S © design model to better integrate six key elements of effective design solutions: Business, Function, Aesthetics, Manufacturability, Ergonomics, and Sustainability.
Business
Target market, production costs, and protection of intellectual property are all part of the design equation.
Function
If the mechanical solution doesn't work well, and reliably, you don't have a product. Details matter.
Aesthetics
Not just about appearance, the product’s “personality” is perceived through all of the senses.
Manufacturability
Materials and process choices provide the physical embodiment of all other design decisions.
Ergonomics
We design the product as part of a product/user system. It's always important. Sometimes it's critical.
Sustainability
The environmental and social impact of design decisions, when done right, will boost the bottom line.
